Mustangs Make a Statement in Loss to Wolves

Our Redmond Varsity Mustangs fought tooth and nail until the end and gave the Eastlake Wolves a run for their money in their 3-0 loss on a rainy night yesterday at Eastlake High School. Even with the loss, the Mustangs proved to the 2023 4A State Champions that the Mustangs will be a force to be reckoned with when they meet again later in the season. Both teams were strong on the hill with a total number of only 3 hits from both teams. The Wolves were able to score 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning which was all was needed to take the victory.

#6 Chase Lawson started on the mound for the Mustangs and went a full 6 innings, surrendering 3 runs on only 2 hits, striking out nine and walking one. The Mustangs were sure-handed for the game with no errors committed with #11 Aidan Kim making the most plays with nine. Lawson secured the only hit for the Mustangs during the game.

Next game for the Mustangs is a home game at Hartman Park where they will go up against the Bothell Cougars on Friday, 3/29, at 6:00pm.

GO STANGS BABY!
