Mustangs Hold onto Wildcats as Long as Possible in Loss

Our Redmond Varsity Mustangs’ pitching was stellar on Wednesday night; however, fielding errors were the ultimate factor in their 6-2 loss to the Mount Si Wildcats.

The Mustangs’ were able to tie the game in the bottom of the 3rd inning when #12 Lance Burt doubled driving in #15 Cavin Bowmer. The big highlight for the evening for the Mustangs was #6 Chase Lawson’s solo home run in the bottom of the 7th inning with a 6-pitch-at-bat. #9 Brandon Dayberry, Lawson, Bowmer and Burt each collected one hit for the Mustangs.

#3 Hiroshi Johnson started on the mound for the Mustangs and went 5 and 2/3 innings, surrendering 3 runs (2 un-earned) on 4 hits, striking out 6 and walking 2. #7 Sean Laizans pitched in relief and went 1 and 1/3 innings, allowing 3 runs (2 un-earned) on 2 hits, striking out 1 and walking 1.

Next game up for the Stangs is a home game on Friday, 4/12, 6pm at Hartman Park against the Issaquah Eagles.

GO STANGS BABY!
