Mustangs Get 2 HR’s but Not Enough to Overcome Eastlake in 13-3 Loss

Our Varsity Mustangs watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 13-3 loss to Eastlake Varsity Wolves on Thursday despite hitting 2 home runs in the game.

The Mustangs struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Eastlake. Highlights for the Mustangs were the two home runs on the day. #8 Andrew McBain went yard in the third inning while #14 Josh Tyler had a four bagger in the sixth inning.

#23 Josh Roof took the loss for the Mustangs. Roof went two innings, allowing 8 hits and 6 runs while striking out 1 and walking none. In relief, #2 Dillon Hartman threw for 3 innings allowing 4 hits and 4 runs while striking out 3, Tyler pitched for 1.1 innings allowing 1 hit and 3 runs while striking out 3 and walking 5, and #21 Vardaan Sangal went 0.2 innings allowing no hits and no runs while striking out 1.

McBain, #1 Ethan Tung, Tyler, and Roof each collected one hit for the Mustangs.

Mustangs will take on the Bothell Cougars on Friday, 3/31, at Bothell High School at 6:30pm PST.
