Connor Barison once again the hard luck losing pitcher
Despite another sterling performance from junior Connor Barison, the Mustangs lost a tight one. This time it was at the hands of the Bellevue Wolverines, 1-0.
The hard-throwing right-hander tossed 7 2/3 innings before having to exit the game due to pitch count. However, prior to exiting, Barison relinquished a single to Bellevue's lead-off hitter, only the third hit he gave up on the day. However, on the first pitch from the Redmond reliever, Andrew Hall, the runner stole 2nd. An intentional walk and another walk later the bases were loaded with two outs. The next Bellevue batter hit a sharp ground ball between second and third for the win.
Redmond managed four hits in the shutout loss, two from senior David Gibons. Though the Mustangs hit a number of balls hard, they always seemed to find Bellevue leather.
Friday night brings the Lake Washington Kangaroos under the lights of Hartman Park at 7 pm. It should be a good one. Be there!
