Senior Dylan Woodbury was the story on Monday night at Hartman Park as he led the Redmond Mustangs to a 7-0 win over the Sammamish Totems.
Woodbury started on the mound for the Mustangs, throwing strikes from the outset. This allowed him to be incredibly efficient in his six innings of work as he only allowed one hit and no runs on 75 pitches. The right-hander also struck out seven. Fellow senior Andrew Connor came on in the 7th to secure the shutout for the Mustangs.
Redmond opened the scoring with two runs in the first as junior Hunter Sullivan and senior David Gibons produced two out RBI. From there, they would add two more in the 4th and three in the 7th. All in all, Redmond received hits from eight different players in the lineup. David Gibons, Casey Beliel, and Yui Suzuki each had two hits.
The win gives Redmond two in a row in KingCo play. They next travel to Bellevue to take on the undefeated, first place Wolverines. Game time is 4:30 at Bellevue High School. Be there!
