Senior Night Done Right

Redmond ended their season on a winning note with a 4-0 shutout of the Liberty Patriots at Hartman Park.

The Mustangs were paced by senior Cam Page's five shutout innings. The righthander only allowed three hits and did not walk a hitter in a 64 pitch effort. Fellow senior southpaws, Brendan Ecklebarger and Gavin Forstrom, came on in the 6th and 7th innings respectively to maintain the shutout.

Redmond was able to post seven hits enroute to their four runs. Seniors Chase Hall and Trayce Borms had two hits apiece. Senior outfielder Daniel Zhang also chipped in with a double to the left-center gap.

All in all, it was a bittersweet night for the Mustangs as they watched helplessly as the Newport Knights defeated the Inglemoor Vikings to secure the final spot in the KingCo 4A playoffs, eliminating the Mustangs. Not the way it was scripted for Redmond's last year in 4A. Thank you all for your support this year and go 'Stangs!
